Dubya's "War on Terror" more and more feels like the older "War on Drugs."
Especially after reading the recent Washington Post report on his war cabinet's meeting.
And cross-memeticised with Tookie's protocol for peace which states that "any efforts to establish a peace policy will be doomed unless there is tangible social progress."
President Bush seems to argue for a Globocop approach to ending terrorism inspired by religious fundamentalism. (He hasn't specifically said he is trying to erradicate a war tactic, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt).
I don't know how well the Netherlands is doing with its drug policy, but one thing that we can all agree upon (even if you do agree with Dubya's handling of things, since the following is his own word) is that "[the] the tactics [must be] constantly adjust[ed] to an enemy which is brutal and violent."
This is not a really fleshed out thought. Totally spur of the moment. Not even original. I have no more authority in determining what's best for the US than the US does for Iraq.
